My overalls aren't special but they are special to me!
My best mates bought me these overalls.
Back when I was at uni, in 2017 my close friendship group (Alex, George and Marcus (all engineers)) bought me these overalls as a birthday present.
Marcus' mum had an embroidery machine and he had the genius idea of making these overalls not just any Dickies overalls but MY Dickies overalls. He did this by getting his mum to embroider my initials onto the chest.
I've been wearing them to work on cars ever since they gave them to me. I have plans to eventually get the registration plates of all the different cars I have worked on added to the sleeve in the same style.
Other than my mates buying them for me, there are a few other things I really like about these overalls:
- Maybe it is just their size (I'm 6' and wear a size medium) but they're not restrictive at all.
- The sleeve length is perfect (for my arms). It isn't too short such that it is halfway up your forearm and it isn't too long so that it gets in the way of tools.
- They have pockets AND access pockets. The access pockets mean that you can still get into the pockets of what you're wearing underneath. That is if you are wearing anything underneath....
- They have additional zip up pockets and the zips are in locations that mean they're unlikely to damage anything you're working on. WIN.
